Wing span:

Identification: Upperside of wings is mostly white with wide dark borders and dark wing bases. Underside is a much paler copy of the upperside, with a dark spot at the lower tip of the wing.

Life history: Flies rapidly.

Flight: All year in Mexico, July-September in southern Arizona.

Caterpillar hosts: Not reported.

Adult food: Probably flower nectar.

Habitat: Hot, dry desert canyons.

Range: A rare stray from Mexico to southern Arizona.
