Wing span: 1 3/4 - 1 7/8 inches (4.5 - 4.8 cm).

Identification: Upperside white. Forewing with black wedges at apex and outer margins; black cell spot. Female forewing markings more diffuse, with additional postmedian black spots.

Life history: Not reported.

Flight: Throughout the year in Baja California.

Caterpillar hosts: Atamisquea emarginata (Capparidaceae) in southern Arizona.

Adult food: Flower nectar.

Habitat: Thorn forest and desert scrub.

Range: Along the coasts in the southern half of Baja California and Sonora, Mexico. Resident in extreme southern Arizona.
