Wetlands
A contructed wetland (sometimes called artificial wetlands) are wetlands
constructed for the treatment of waste water. The waste water may be sewage,
storm drain overflow, agricultural wastes, mine runoff, and any other
form of waste water needing treatment. Constructed wetlands are still
rather rare as practical alternatives to more conventional waste water
treatment techniques. However research is very active.
