Strawberry Blite (Chenopodium capitatum)

Identification: Flowers green, turning bright red when in seed, arranged in globular clusters along the stem. Leaves triangular, heavily toothed along their outer margins. Plant 6 to 24 inches in height.

Distribution: Southern Canada and the northern United States. Also occurs throughout most of the western United States.

Habitat: Strawberry Blite is found in forest and forest clearings and margins.

Flowering period: June to August.
