Schreber's Aster (Eurybia schreberi)

Identification: Flowers white. Basal leaves very large, heart shaped, stalked, with broad, trapezoidal indentations at the base. Plants 1 to 4 feet in height.

Distribution: Michigan in the west and New England in the east, southward to Virginia and Tennessee.

Habitat: Found in woods and thickets.

Flowering period: July to September.

Similar Species:

Easily identified by the large basal leaves with broad, trapezoidal indentations.
