Small-flowered Phacelia (Phacelia dubia)

Identification: Flowers small, pastel blue, with 5 petals, 5 stamens, and a single style bifurcate at about one-half its length. Petal outer margins not fringed. Flowers arranged in a terminal spray, the spray usually slightly curved. Leaves elongate, with a series of deep lobes along each outer margin. Plant 5 to 12 inches in height.

Distribution: Ohio to New York, southward to Georgia and Louisiana.

Habitat: Small-flowered Phacelia is found in forest and woodland clearings.

Flowering period: April to June.
