Whales and Dolphins

The order Cetacea contains the whale, dolphins, porpoises, narwhal, and related marine mammals. The order contains two primary groups; the Toothed Whales (Odontoceti) including the Dolphins and Porpoises, and the Baleen Whales (Mysticeti). There are hundreds of sites on whales and porpoises, but most of them are produced by conservation societies and few of them have useful information from the purely natural history perspective. The definitive whale site is yet to be done.

Zoom Whales. Enchanted Learning Software. A great site on whales for younger kids. Find out what a whale is, where they live, and what they eat. Find out about the biggest whales and whale myths and legends. There are games you can play and puzzles to solve. Recommended.
