Diagnosis: Grotella vauriae is possibly the most easily identified species of the genus. The forewing color is a light fawn brown. The lower two-thirds of the median area is conspicuously darker in color. Wing length: mean = 8.66 mm, standard deviation = 0.44 mm, n = 10.
